New housing project in Scotland gets approval

The Scottish government has given its approval to a new scheme that
will include the creation of 500 new homes for sale, something that
may benefit first-time buyers.
Following a public inquiry the green light has been given to the
proposed Trump International Golf Links Scotland project at
Balmedie, near Aberdeen, which has been proposed by US entrepreneur
Donald Trump.
Confirming the decision, finance minister John Swinney stated: "The
reporters found there was significant economic and social benefit
to be gained from this project, which has been a major
consideration in my decision to grant outline planning
permission."
In addition to the homes, the resort will provide holiday
apartments and a hotel to serve the golfing resort.
The new resort is the second announcement in a week concerning a
proposed sporting development that also involves building new
homes.
Housing, shops and public spaces form part of the blueprint for
newly-unveiled plans by Premiership football club Tottenham Hotspur
to expand its White Hart Lane stadium.
